Long Drives

The last 30 minutes of a long drive typically look like this................

It is hard to imagine that this was my baby only a mere 2 years ago. When I think of Charlie, this is how I picture him.....forever 2. The thought of the time that has quickly passed by brings a lump to my throat and makes my eyes wet.

Infact I just had a conversation with my mom tonight about this exact thing. I doubt that when I am 50 that much will change in the way I view my children, Charlie will still be 2 in my heart.

I know that they must grow, it is their right, it is what we work so hard to help them acheive. And yet, the time goes by so fast. I only wish that it did not.

Love you buddy! Keep growing, just not so fast!

Happy Birthday Dear Lovie

We take Birthdays very seriously around these parts.
So, when Charlie announced one night at bedtime that TOMORROW was Lovie's birthday what could we do but go into full party mode.

Presents were bought
,

cake made and eaten,
party favors put out and
guests invited.
