Just some sentences..........

It is Sunday morning, we are not going to church today, instead we opted to catch up on some much needed sleep and stay in our pj's, cozy and warm in our little home.  Sometime we need days like this.  Days to just be together, have nothing on the "schedule".  To do projects around the house, or not.  To play video games to our hearts desire,  to read all the books in the baby basket without interruption, to lay cuddled on the couch together.

Outside is a winter wonderland.  The tree limbs are lined with fluffy snow and our foot prints from yesterdays "snow caterpillar" building are covered again with a blanket of the white stuff.  It is 8:21 and the sun is peaking from behind the school, making the trees sparkle.

Trent is asleep, I hear Penny stirring in her crib, talking to Pink Kitty most likely and my boys are wearing their homemade jet pack (that Daddy made!) and playing the part of fearless Jedi's.

The house is less then put together.  The dining room table is cluttered with cereal boxes for Chalrie's class Valentines Day craft,  a cupcake holder I bought to take in his birthday cupcakes to school, a water bottle, some jackets and my house binder.  Reminents of a puppet show are on the coffee table, from when Nana and the cousins were over last night.  There is probably 5 loads of laundry that needs to be washed and about 2 that need to be put away.  I still need to send out a box of Christmas gifts to our friends in Michigan and package up all of our online homeschooling supplies and computer to send back.  The beds need to be changed and the toy boxes in the dining room need to be gone through again.

Life is good and I am content.

  1. I love this post, Beth. I caught up on like a million posts tonight on your blog :-). Actually, over the last few nights. You had a very sweet Christmas together. Your homemade Christmas is something I've wanted to do here for ages. Hopefully someday....you are amazing to have done all of it!

Your family pictures from Blue Lily are beautiful!! The kids look so good in their shots too. I am so happy for you that you got to have them done. I know you wanted to badly. Sweet Penny is still such a doll baby. OH, she is growing so fast. So very bittersweet. I am in denial that I no longer have a baby and in denial that I never will again unless it's by God's grace. I am trying hard to embrace this new phase of life without sadness and tears, unless they are tears of joy and just be thankful for good health, growing children and all that we CAN do instead of all that will never be again. Some days I do good, others not good at all. It is growing on me though, slowly, but surely.

I hope you are having a wonderful New Year so far. You deserve it. I LOVE keeping up with you on FB again and 'talking' that way! I've missed you!!

    Blessings and big hugs, Beth!
